Hi,

This patch will use high-order bits for random numbers instead of
low-order bits (see http://www.eskimo.com/~scs/C-faq/q13.16.html
for more information). Using 'random() % N' probably wouldn't be
a problem if random() was guaranteed to exist in every system.
Also delay code in share.c is slightly optimized and cleaned up.
