The speed of development for 1.7 should be a non-issue. We're going to be
ripping out huge amounts of 1.6 code from it iniatially... so hopefully
it'll be a matter of "when it's done, it's done". I've always failed to
understand why some people on this list want to push things through more
quickly than they should be - testing and "getting things right" should be
more important than steady release dates.
